The fact that this colorway comes from tiny, silver, bug shells found on cacti is simply amazing to me. It's one of the most stunning natural reds I've worked with. On our hearth base, it translates as a rich, deep mulberry. Dyed with cochineal and alum. As with all our yarns, hand wash in cool water and let dry in a favorite spot at home. Colors may vary slightly between dye lots since we use only natural dyes.

Note on this colorway: our darkest shades may sometime "crock", or rub off slightly onto your hands while working, which is a normal characteristic of the darker shades of natural dyes. For more details on this, please see our blog post.
